Ham Orchards is peachy keen

A peach sliver is handed to you as you walk in the door... and it says it all. These peaches are as good as they are preached. I actually tried to convince my co-peach shopper that it was acceptable for me to buy a whole crate of them. Peaches are only in season for a few more weeks... Ham Orchards is calling your name this weekend.
Listen: it is worth a drive to Terrell, Texas for these peaches. Have you ever taken a road trip to grandma's and bought a bag of peaches off the side of the road? And eaten the entire bag by the time you arrived? These peaches are that good. And everyone knows it. It didn't take long for the bags of peaches to be entirely picked off the shelves.

This massive orchard started with just 50 trees back in the ‘70s. Today, Ham Orchards consists of 100 acres containing five orchards with approximately 10,000 peach trees and a variety of additional fruit trees. They've expanded to serving peach and fruit EVERYTHING.
The peach and strawberry soft serve ice cream was fresh and packed with fruity flavor. But really, nothing beats the actual peaches. I made it out with 2 large bags of peaches, peach-pecan preserves and a little fudge.
They sell fresh fruit, veggies, bread, cakes, pies, fudge, jams, jelly, ice cream, bbq, honey, imagine it, and it's probably there and locally sourced. It's all wonderfully southern and delicious, if these peaches last until the weekend, there is a homemade peach cobbler in my future.
